Cole Palis’ grand slam in the sixth inning capped a seven-run rally by the Colonials (7-7) in their conquest of first-place Wayne (12-2).
Jimmy Kirk collected two hits and three RBIs for Springfield. Luke Cantwell reached base four times with a single, three walks and an RBI.
Andrew Cantwell pitched three innings in relief to earn the win.
Reece Malek went 2-for-3 with a walk and Brady Schlack smacked an RBI double for Wayne. Bill Ford and Matt Briner added run-scoring singles.
