Consecutive RBI singles by Mitch Helmandollar, Owen Mathes, Justin Brennan and Will Kelley in the bottom of the third inning was all the offense the Colonials needed.

Springfield sent 10 men to the plate and scored five times to erase a 2-0 deficit. Mathes, Brennan, Kelley and Jimmy Kirk finished with two hits each. Andrew Cantwell scattered six hits and struck out nine in 6.2 innings to get the win Joe Samohod got the final out to earn the save.

Jim White belted a two-run homer while going 2-for-4. Evan Sinclair also was 2-for-4 for the Mudcats.
