Colin Eberhardt, Nick Brauer, Mike Smith and Mike Paytas gave new meaning to the term team effort. The quartet combined on a two-hit shutout as the Springfield Colonials blacked the Concord Canes, 6-0.

Eberhardt threw the first inning and did not allow a hit. Brauer allowed one hit and fanned three in two innings. Smith surrendered one hit and whiffed three in three frames to get the win. Paytas closed the game out with a hitless seventh.

Norm Donkin paced the offense with two hits, including an RBI double and one run scored. Cole Palis also had two hits, one RBI, one walk and one run scored.
