With Reilly On The Mound, Wayne Shuts Out Chester


Reilly Degen didn't allow a single run against Chester, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Wayne to a 1-0 victory on Sunday.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Degen struck out four, while Chester pitchers sat down six.

One bright spot for Chester was a single by Wells in the first inning.

Degen earned the win for Wayne. He allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Richardson took the loss for Chester. He allowed four hits and one run over two and a third innings, striking out four.

Anthony Viggiano led Wayne with three hits in three at bats. Wayne was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Drew Ehrlich made the most plays with four.
