Wayne isn’t messing around.

The perennial Delco League power and top seed in the league playoffs had the bats working again Tuesday night in a 12-3 romp over Chester at Devon Prep.

Wayne reached double digits in hits (10) and runs for the second night in a row to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best of- 5 semifinal series.

Ed Paparella wielded the big bat for Wayne. He went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Cameron Mathes, Dan Williams, Matt Briner and Tommy Jacobs drove in two runs each for Wayne.

Alden Mathes scattered six hits and fanned nine in five innings to get the win. Joe Peluso pitched two scoreless innings in relief to close out the game.
