Williams’ clutch double helps Chester upset Wayne


Bobby Williams belted a two-run double to cap a fifth inning rally, lifting Chester to a 6-4 win over undefeated Wayne in Delco League baseball Wednesday.

Williams stroked two hits for Chester, which erupted for four runs to wipe out a 3-1 deficit after four innings. Brian Protesto (2-for-3) led off the decisive frame with a base hit. Steve Wells delivered an RBI double, Joe Cautillo (2-for-2) an RBI single.

Pitcher David Eisner got the win, scattering seven hits over four innings. Glen Stanner pitched a two-inning save, striking out four and allowing two hits.

Chester improved to 3-7-1.
